Introduction

Since 1970, animal populations have reduced by an estimated 30%, the area of mangroves and sea grasses by 20% and the coverage of living corals by 40%. Half of the rainforest has disappeared since 1990. And the population is expected to reach 9 billion by 2050. If the situation is unchecked, catastrophic consequences are not far from us. The global community needs to act now.

People are fully aware that ecological safety is not only the foundation for the survival and development of a nation, but also the special mission for the common development of the entire human race in times of peace.

We need a country, a region, an area, or even the whole world to tackle climate change, preserve ecological safety, protect ecological environment, solve ecological crisis, and it also requires the wide engagement and positive actions of political parties, parliaments (congresses), governments, think tanks, international organizations, financial institutions, enterprisers, media and the public. World Ecological Safety Assembly is a platform to bring them together to discuss what mattering in the world the most.

By these resaons, the Second World Ecological Safety will be an International, high-level and authoritative assembly. "Survival and Development" is the theme of the assembly.
